I would like to congratulate our students, staff, and community on the outstanding performances they have achieved on the ISAT testing these past few weeks.  Counselor, James Bostock reports that only a few students have a few make-up tests to complete, and the scores recorded thus far seem to show growth overall for the school and on target to make the Annual Yearly Progress Proficiency standards for now ten years in a row! On behalf of the school board and staff we would like to thank Kim Brackett for her service as a trustee for the past several years.  We understand her resignation as a trustee was a tough decision, but made for personal and family reasons.  We wish Kim all the

Castleford participates in leadership-building project

Boise State University has a created a professional development project focused on strengthening leadership capacity in Idaho’s K-12 schools, and Castleford was invited to be one of the inaugural members. The Idaho Leads Project will provide us with support and resources to become more effective leaders and create high-performing schools where all students succeed. Students at Castleford are starting to record data and research material that they will present at the school wide science fair on March 1st.  March 1st is the last day of the second semester and we felt that this activity would be a good way for students, staff and the community to celebrate the learning associated with science.
